It was a good run, but the Corsica/Stickney Jaguars unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They were outmatched by Winner on the road and fell 54-22. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Corsica/Stickney has scored all season.
Winner got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cici Watson out in front who scored 12 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Watson has scored all season. Ava Craven was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Corsica/Stickney's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Winner, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corsica/Stickney will take on the Cougars at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Dakota (Burke is ranked 77th, while the Jaguars are ranked 102nd). As for Winner, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rustlers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
