Baseball Recap: Hollis Sets Scoring Season-High Against Chattanooga

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hollis). They never let the Chattanooga Warriors get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won six contests in a row.

Matt Parker was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Sykora, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Hollis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Hollis pushed their record up to 9-12-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Chattanooga, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Hollis will venture away from home to challenge Fletcher at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chattanooga, they will welcome Walters at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
