Marshall were out to avenge their 19-34 loss to Cambridge from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Marshall ended up on the wrong side of a painful 12-42 walloping at Cambridge's hands. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Cambridge enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
The defeat dropped Marshall's record to 3-5. Cambridge added further sheen to their flawless record, now 8-0.
Next week Marshall take on Belleville at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup. Cambridge will be playing at home against New Glarus/Monticello at at 7:00 PM. These teams both have set a high bar for this contest after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests.
