Softball Recap: Snow Canyon Takes a Loss

Snow Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Payson Lions. Even though they lost, the Warriors' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Alyssa Staheli was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Alli Beckstrom, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Snow Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Payson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Snow Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-7 win against Stansbury on the 15th. As for Payson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-2 loss against Desert Hills on the 15th.
