The biggest upset of the week belonged to Walnut Springs, who took down 83rd ranked Walnut Springs, 50-38.
The Hornets' Dillon Rose rumbled for the longest rushing play in 1A 6 Man 1 Region III District 11 (6 Man) this season in his game against Blum last week. Rose ran for 60 yards on the play and finished with 100 on the day as his team fell to the Bobcats.
Walnut Springs' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Zane Trotter has thrown for 802 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Rose has 22 catches for 376 yards. Rose leads the league in rushing with 912 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Tim Trotter's team takes on Kopperl. The Hornets' offense has racked up 394 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Eagles have allowed only 309 on the year.
Rose of the Walnut Springs is only 88 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Hornets take on Gary Harkins' team. Walnut Springs has allowed 368 points this season, while the Eagles have given up 309. The Hornets allowed 50 points last week as they fell to Blum.
Kopperl took down Covington 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
