Basketball Recap: Collin Corpus Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

After losing to Non Varsity Tournament Opponent the last time they met, Johnson City decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Johnson City Eagles strolled past Non Varsity Tournament Opponent with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 46-31.

Johnson City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Collin Corpus led the charge by going 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points in addition to eight assists and six boards. Corpus is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Walker Jackson was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Johnson City has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
