After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rye, the Swink Lions were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They managed a 39-35 victory over Swallows Charter Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Swink, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Swink was led to victory by Nate Cabrera and Hunter Bauserman. Cabrera scored 14 points along with 3 steals, while Bauserman scored 19 points. The contest was Bauserman's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Swink's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Swink will head out on the road to face off against Holly at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fowler at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Fowler focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Thursday.
