The contest was Shaw's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dariasia Pitts, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds.
Jordan Christian Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amelia Williams, who scored 20 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Delissa Morris was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
The victory was the third in a row for Kathleen, bringing their record for this year to 11-5. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25 points. As for Jordan Christian Prep, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kathleen will take on Sebring at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sebring is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Jordan Christian Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Four Corners at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
