The Legacy Lightning will head out on the road to take on the Horizon Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Legacy is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.
Legacy only won by three when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 28-point they dealt Poudre on Tuesday. Legacy really took it to Poudre for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-40 win at home. Given Legacy's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Poudre is ranked 203rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Domsch, who scored 15 points along with two steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Delescinskis, who scored 14 points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Horizon pushed their score all the way to 76 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 83-76 to Fort Collins.
Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Horizon, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Legacy strolled past Horizon when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 59-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Legacy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
