The Hulbert Riders will head out to  square off against the Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Hulbert will be strutting in after a  victory while Chouteau-Mazie will be coming in after a  loss.
Having struggled with nine  defeats in a row dating back to last season, Hulbert  turned things around against Summit Christian Academy  on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp  7-0 win. The Riders not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since April 5, 2024.
Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when  Chouteau-Mazie challenged Central on Friday. Chouteau-Mazie lost  11-3 to Central.
 Chouteau-Mazie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tayler Applegate, who  went 1-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.  Blane Battles also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hit of the season.
 Everything went Hulbert's way against Chouteau-Mazie in their previous meeting  back in March of 2024, as Hulbert made off with  a  13-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hulbert since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
