Gulf Pointe Latin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Holland Hamer out in front who scored 17 points along with 7 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hamer has scored at least 25% of Gulf Pointe Latin's points. Coral Hamer was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 14 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Covenant Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Gulf Pointe Latin, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
