The McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They took down Shelton 44-30 on Thursday. For McKinney Christian Academy, this counts as revenge for the 48-40 loss Shelton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McKinney Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sadie Zbranek, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Barnhill, who scored seven points along with five assists and five rebounds.
McKinney Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Shelton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Prince of Peace the next time they take the court. McKinney Christian Academy will host Prince of Peace on Saturday, while Shelton will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
