It's playoff time, and Oswego had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Barrington Fillies/Broncos by a score of 4-1 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Jaelynn Anthony spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Aubriella Garza was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May.
Oswego's victory bumped their record up to 38-2. As for Barrington, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 35-4-1.
