The Wilmington Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Peotone Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Wilmington will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Even though Wilmington has not done well against Streator recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Wilmington managed a 63-59 win over Streator. The victory was all the more spectacular given Wilmington's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while Streator is ranked 126th).
Meanwhile, Peotone came up short against Clifton Central on Tuesday and fell 49-41.
Wilmington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Peotone, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.
