If the Grace Christian Warriors were riding high off their 64-34 takedown of the Ridgeview Christian Crusaders on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Grace Christian fell just short of the Bears by a score of 58-55. Grace Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Thursday.
Despite the loss, Grace Christian still got an impressive performance from Justin Hain, who scored 26 points. Hain is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 20 or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Wells, who scored ten points.
Grace Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Blue Ridge Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.
Grace Christian will be playing at home against the Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. United Christian Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Blue Ridge Christian, they will head out on the road to take on the Crusaders at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgeview Christian and the Bears are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
