It was a good run, but the Cedar Crest Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 80-57 walloping at the hands of Central Dauphin. Cedar Crest was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-17.
Central Dauphin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lleyton Fried, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fried has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Wayne Fletcher II, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Cedar Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Central Dauphin, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.
Cedar Crest will head out on the road to face off against Hempfield at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Dauphin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central York at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Central York is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
