Sparrows Point was dealt a 74-29 loss at the hands of Eastern Tech on Friday. Sparrows Point has not had much luck with Eastern Tech recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Eastern Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Matthew Foley, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Foley hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jericho Wondeye, who scored seven points along with five steals and three blocks.
Sparrows Point's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Eastern Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Sparrows Point will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Catonsville on January 24th. As for Eastern Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Pikesville at 5:30 p.m. Pikesville has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 16.
