The Springbrook Blue Devils kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of Seneca Valley by a score of 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Seneca Valley can attribute much of their success to Jaysen Moise, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Sowell, who scored 8 points along with 5 assists.
Springbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Seneca Valley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bethesda-Chevy Chase the next time they take the court. Seneca Valley will head out to face Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, while Springbrook will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
