Basketball Recap: Monday's Defeat Ends Linden's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Linden unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Yale Bulldogs by a score of 61-58. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 98th).

Linden's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Yale, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Linden will head out to challenge Swartz Creek at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. One thing working in Linden's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Yale, they will square off against Harbor Beach at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Harbor Beach will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Yale surely won't give up without a fight.
