Even though The Birch Run Panthers have not done well against the Swan Valley Vikings recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Everything went Birch Run's way against Swan Valley as Birch Run made off with a 37-15 win. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Birch Run's nine-point performance the match before.
Although Swan Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Johnathan Meyette and Issac Beougher.
Birch Run's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Swan Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Birch Run will head out on the road to face off against Frankenmuth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frankenmuth knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully Birch Run likes a good challenge. Swan Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
