Bayard was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Banner County on Friday. Everything went the Bayard Tigers' way against the Banner County Wildcats as the Bayard Tigers made off with a 57-34 victory. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Bayard's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Cochran, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points. Cochran continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Posey, who posted nine points.

With the win, Bayard broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4. As for Banner County, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Bayard will venture away from home to face off against Leyton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Banner County has already played their next match, a 64-13 loss against Peetz on the 14th.
