Geovanni Aparixo posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Aparixo's strong effort led Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy over Silver Valley and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy is 8-2 against Silver Valley going back to May of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
