After flying high against the Twiggs Academy Trojans on Monday, the Windsor Academy Knights came back down to earth. Windsor Academy ended up on the wrong side of a rough 74-49 walloping at the hands of Central Fellowship Christian Academy on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Windsor Academy in their matchups with Central Fellowship Christian Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Windsor Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gavin Snow, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Mason Merrit, who scored 14 points.
Trey Bradley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, dropping a double-double on 35 points and 11 rebounds. Bradley has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. Judson Walls was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Windsor Academy now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor Academy and Trinity Christian will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Trinity Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Windsor Academy in Georgia (Trinity Christian is ranked 238th, while Windsor Academy is ranked 479th). As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Covenant Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Covenant Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
