DK Buford ran for two touchdowns and
JD Driver added two as well as
Lafayette (Oxford, Miss.) beat North Pontotoc (Ecru, Miss.) 38-0 on Saturday.
The Commodores were up 17-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Buford in the second quarter.
Lafayette expanded its lead to 31 points entering the fourth quarter. LHS scored two times in the third, including once on a Buford touchdown run.
The Oxford school's standout player in the win was Buford. The junior running back threw one touchdown. He has now scored 16 touchdowns on the season.
The Commodores came into the game allowing 8.9 points per game. The Vikings' zero points were well below their season average of 28.3 per game.
Lafayette also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 49-7.
