Baseball Recap: Center Line Wins Going Away Against Sterling Heights

Center Line won the last time they faced Sterling Heights and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers blew past the Stallions 12-2. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Center Line got a massive performance out of Garrett Watters, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Fizia, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Center Line always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive games.

Center Line pushed their record up to 4-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Sterling Heights, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
