The Berrien Rebels lost against the Atkinson County Rebels last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Berrien falling 62-43.
Atkinson County was led to victory by Ja'Kari Northcutt and Kamari Moore. Northcutt scored 19 points, while Moore scored 29 points. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for her. Savanna Williams was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Berrien's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Atkinson County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Berrien will head out on the road to face off against Lowndes at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lowndes will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Atkinson County will be home for the holidays to greet McIntosh County Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. McIntosh County Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
