Sonora is 10-0 against Amador since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Sonora Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Amador Buffaloes at 7:15 p.m. Sonora is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
Last Friday, Sonora strolled past Summerville with points to spare, taking the game 58-40.
Sonora relied on the efforts of Jonathan Curran, who scored 17 points along with five steals, and Roger Edwards, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Edwards has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Wright, who scored five points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Amador pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a tough 75-55 defeat at the hands of Argonaut. Amador has struggled against Argonaut recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Sonora has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Amador, they bumped their record down to 4-16 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Sonora against Amador in their previous matchup on January 5th as the team secured a 71-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sonora since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
