Nuview Bridge is 0-10 against San Jacinto Valley Academy since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. On Wednesday, Nuview Bridge beat California Military Institute 15-10. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.
Mia Aguiluz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Sofia Barrera and Lyla Dixon did most of the damage at the plate: Barrera went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Dixon went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave Barrera a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Nathalia Portillo, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, San Jacinto Valley Academy got the win against Temecula Prep on Friday by a conclusive 12-1. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.
Like Nuview Bridge, San Jacinto Valley Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Avilika Arana. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Arana has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, San Jacinto Valley Academy got a massive performance out of Angelina Dominguez, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Meeya Abaoag was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
San Jacinto Valley Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Temecula Prep only posted an OBP of .318.
San Jacinto Valley Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Nuview Bridge, their win bumped their record up to 10-6-1.
