The Chesterton Trojans lost against the Kankakee Valley Kougars back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. Chesterton fell  57-49 to Kankakee Valley. Chesterton has not had much luck with Kankakee Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 Chesterton lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Kenedi Bradley, who  scored 18 points along with three  steals. Bradley hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was  Isabelle Connors, who  scored eight points along with four  steals.
 It was another big night for  Olivia Plummer, who  scored 15 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals for Kankakee Valley. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Plummer has scored at least 25% of Kankakee Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brooke Swart, who  scored nine points along with five  assists.
 Chesterton's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 8-5. As for Kankakee Valley, their victory was  their seventh straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 10-4.
 Chesterton will  challenge Lake Station Edison at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Lake Station Edison's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last five matches. Kankakee Valley and Mishawaka Marian will round out the year against one another at 3:15  p.m.  on December 28th at. Mishawaka Marian will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Kankakee Valley is ranked 77th).
