Jesuit is 4-0 against Douglas since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Jesuit Marauders will take on the Douglas Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Douglas took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Jesuit, who comes in off a win.
Jesuit had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against Oak Ridge by a score of 65-52 on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Douglas pushed their score all the way to 69 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of McQueen by a score of 72-69.
Despite the loss, Douglas had strong showings from Caden Thacker, who scored 27 points along with 3 steals, and Jett Lehmann, who scored 18 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Reese Torres, who scored 5 points along with 3 steals.
Jesuit's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Douglas, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything went Jesuit's way against Douglas in their previous meeting back in December of 2021 as Jesuit made off with a 74-51 victory. Will Jesuit repeat their success, or does Douglas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
