The Harvest Christian Academy Saints will head out on the road to square off against the Methodist Children's Home Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After soaring to 56 points the game before, Harvest Christian Academy were a bit more limited in their match last Friday. They took a serious blow against Grayson Christian, falling 50-19. Harvest Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-4.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Andy Cumbest and
Logan Harrington, who each put up four points.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Methodist Children's Home's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Chisholm Trail Academy by a score of 55-53. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Methodist Children's Home in their matchups with Chisholm Trail Academy: they've now lost eight in a row.
Methodist Children's Home's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Elijah Williams, who scored 17 points, and Londen Bickham who scored 17 points. Bickham is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Yasser Zapata was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Harvest Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Methodist Children's Home, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.
Harvest Christian Academy strolled past Methodist Children's Home in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 56-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harvest Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
