It was a good run, but The Willowbrook Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Hononegah, falling 44-0. While losing is never fun, Willowbrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Hononegah is ranked 24th).
Hononegah was led to victory by Isaiah Houi and Cole Warren. Houi picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Warren threw for 124 yards and two touchdowns.
Willowbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Hononegah, their victory was their seventh straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 11-0.
Willowbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hononegah will play host again and welcome Batavia, where kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Batavia is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
