The win was all the more spectacular given Windsor Forest's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Savannah is ranked 43rd).
Windsor Forest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryheim Manning led the charge by scoring 20 points. The match was Manning's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Landon Page, who scored 15 points.
Windsor Forest's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points per game. As for Savannah, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3.
Windsor Forest won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Memorial Day at 8:30 p.m. on December 16th. Savannah will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cairo at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th.
