In other batting news, Anthony Acosta Livas was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Joaquin Rico was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Lee Williams hadn't done well against Bradshaw Mountain recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Volunteers came out on top against the Bears by a score of 6-3. The game was the first time the Volunteers have beaten the Bears on their field since March 27, 2021.

He is becoming a predictor of Lee Williams' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 6-11 when he doesn't). Lee Williams has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Copper Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7-1.
