The Weld Central Rebels lost against the Sterling Tigers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Weld Central fell 36-28 to the Tigers. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Weld Central in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isabel Weisenborn, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks. Gracie Weber was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Weld Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sterling only pulled down 11 offensive rebounds.
