Pickens might have drawn first blood against Travelers Rest on Friday, but it was Travelers Rest who got the last laugh. Pickens and Travelers Rest were almost perfectly matched up, but Pickens suffered an agonizing 19-20 loss. Pickens were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Travelers Rest apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat from the last time the teams met up.
The loss dropped Pickens' record to 1-3. The win bumped Travelers Rest's record up to 4-0.
Pickens will stay at home next week against Berea at 7:30 PM. Travelers Rest will look to defend their home turf against Blue Ridge at 7:30 PM.
