David City is on a four-game streak of home losses, Madison a nine-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The David City Scouts will take on the Madison Dragons at TBD on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Monday, David City was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to Cross County. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for David City in their matchups with Cross County: they've now lost six in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Brock Dubbs, who scored 15 points along with two steals and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Clayton Zavodny, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Madison ended up a good deal behind West Point-Beemer on Tuesday and lost 60-43.
David City has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Madison, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8.
David City strolled past Madison in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 63-46. Will David City repeat their success, or does Madison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
