Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Carrollwood Day's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Carrollwood Day won the last time they faced Northside Christian, and Moses Allen did his part to make sure it happened again. The Carrollwood Day Patriots came out on top against the Northside Christian Mustangs by a score of 60-50 on Saturday thanks in part to Allen, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Zack Serebin, who posted seven points. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2023.

Northside Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Ahlers, who had 19 points and seven boards. That was a full 38% of Northside Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. Jon Myers was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Carrollwood Day is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Northside Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
