After losing to the Winston County Yellowjackets the last time they met, the Lamar County Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Lamar County blew past Winston County 58-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lamar County.
Lynleigh Cobb and Emma Grace certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Cobb scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Grace scored six points along with three blocks. Cobb is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Lamar County's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Winston County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar County will face off against Berry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Winston County, they will head out on the road to face off against Meek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meek will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
