Tumwater is 9-1 against Centralia since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds will challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Tumwater is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Tumwater lost a heartbreaker the last time they played WF West, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Thunderbirds put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 14-3 win on Monday. Considering the Thunderbirds have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ella Ferguson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Megan Barrett and Elizabeth McCartney did most of the damage at the plate: Barrett went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while McCartney went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave McCartney a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marissa La Praim, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Centralia challenged Aberdeen on Monday. The Tigers came up short against the Bobcats, falling 11-1. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Tumwater pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.3 runs over those games. As for Centralia, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-2.
Everything went Tumwater's way against Centralia when the teams last played last Monday, as Tumwater made off with a 19-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunderbirds since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
