Everything went their way against Christian Academy-Louisville as Sacred Heart made off with a 66-40 victory. Winning may never get old, but Sacred Heart sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Sacred Heart's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but ZaKiyah Johnson led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. It was the first time this season that Johnson posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Reagan Bender, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Sacred Heart's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.
Sacred Heart will head out on the road to challenge the Colonels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Crimsons at 6:00 p.m. DuPont Manual is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
