Football Recap: Silverdale Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Webb last Friday, Silverdale Academy came back down to earth. The Seahawks came up short against the Grace Christian Academy Rams on Friday, falling 45-24. The Seahawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Silverdale Academy still got an impressive performance from Cody Davenport, who rushed for 114 yards on only 13 carries. Davenport's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 114 rushing yards. Silverdale Academy also got help from Titus Hinkle, who showed off his sure hands for 86 receiving yards.

Leading Grace Christian Academy to victory were Jace Ballard and JV Stinson. Ballard gained 171 total yards and four touchdowns, while Stinson rushed for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Silverdale Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Grace Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Silverdale Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 48-21 victory against Christian Academy of Knoxville on the 19th. As for Grace Christian Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 70-40 win against Webb on the 18th.
