Baseball Recap: Drexel Has No Trouble Against Northeast Vernon County

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liberal, Drexel was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Northeast Vernon County Knights as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The win got Drexel back to even at 1-1. As for Northeast Vernon County, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Drexel will venture away from home to square off against Appleton City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.88 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Northeast Vernon County, they will challenge Montrose at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
