In what's become a running theme this season, the Wright City Lumberjax gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Fort Towson 69-25 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-13.
It was another big night for Braileigh Threadgill, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Ali Gibson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Wright City's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Fort Towson, they bumped their record down to 8-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wright City will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Antlers at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Antlers will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Wright City is ranked 25th). Fort Towson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Valliant at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
