Cleveland barely beat Willow Spring the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams put the hurt on the Storm with a sharp 14-4 win on Tuesday. Considering the Rams have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Cleveland got a big performance out of Henry Blackman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Hernandez, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
With the victory, Cleveland broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-7. As for Willow Spring, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Looking ahead, Willow Spring will head out to square off against Rolesville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cleveland will be paying especially close attention to the Storm's matchup: after the Storm faces off against the Rams, they'll take on Cleveland again at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
