It was a good run, but the Goleman Gators unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell to North Miami Beach 31-26. Goleman has struggled against North Miami Beach recently, as their contest on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Gators players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jasmin Brown, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camilia D'lassalas, who scored five points along with three steals.
North Miami Beach's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Vanejia Bryant, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Bryant is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Amelinda Odelus was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Goleman's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for North Miami Beach, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3.
Goleman has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Jackson at 3:30 p.m. on January 10th. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Jackson: 25.7, Goleman: 24.5) so any points scored will be well earned. As for North Miami Beach, they will head out on the road to face off against North Miami at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Miami is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
