After a string of five wins, the Tillamook Cheesemakers's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. The contest between Tillamook and Banks wasn't particularly close, with Tillamook falling 49-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tillamook has scored all season.
Several Cheesemakers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aubrey Hilton, who scored 11 points along with three steals. The contest was Hilton's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivian Vogel, who scored eight points.
Tillamook's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for Banks, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Tillamook is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Mazama at 5:00 p.m. on December 27th. Mazama has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 29. Banks will be home for the holidays to greet Scappoose at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Scappoose is ranked 41st, while Banks is ranked 24th).
