The Colonial Christian Patriots proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 21) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Archbishop Carroll and snuck past 25-23. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Colonial Christian.
Colonial Christian can attribute much of their success to Isabella Pecina, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Gabriella Pecina was another key contributor, scoring no points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Colonial Christian's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9. As for Archbishop Carroll, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colonial Christian will take on Varsity Opponent at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Archbishop Carroll, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mater Academy Bay at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mater Academy Bay has four straight wins, Archbishop Carroll has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
