Florence and Huntsville are an even 4-4-2 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Florence Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Huntsville Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Florence is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
After failing to score in their last matchup, Florence made sure to put some goals up on the board against LaGrange on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grangers and snuck past 4-3. That's two games straight that Florence has won by exactly one goal.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Huntsville's offense. They were the victim of a tough 3-0 loss at the hands of Oak Mountain on Friday. Huntsville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Florence's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Huntsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1.
Florence skirted past Huntsville 2-1 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Florence since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
