Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cabell Midland walked away with it. They walked away with  a   6-1  victory over the St. Albans Red Dragons  on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row.
 Audrea Watts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on zero hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in 13 consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Nicole Harris was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
Cabell Midland's win bumped their record up to 27-3. As for St. Albans,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 14-11 record.
 Coming up, Cabell Midland will challenge University at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3  runs per game  this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Albans, they will face off against Jefferson at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Red Dragons 3.3, the Cougars 2.9) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
